Prince Nicolae de Romania is the eldest grandson of HM King Michael de Romania and third in succession line to the throne, in the event of the restoration of a Constiitutional Monarchy.
He is educated in Britain and is involved in conservation issues and in youth activity programmes.
Prince Nicolae is descended from Queen Victoria and most of European monarchs including the Russian Tzars.
Through the Bourbon-Parme lineage of his maternal grandmother Prince Nicolae is also a descendant of the Moldavian Prince Ieremia Movila, founder of the Romanian painted monasteries.
NOTE: The Romanian Monarchs belonged to the Hohenzollern Sigmaringen branch and were cousins of the last Keiser. The first three kings Carol I, Ferdinand i and Carol II kept their patronimic name of Hohenzollern, It is only Michael who was given the patronimic name of "de Romania"
